Crisper’s Anxious Thoughts

At first, Crisper was unsure of what she needed to do about this phase of insomnia. She realized that sleep was not going to happen. At least, not for a while. β€œI should probably use this time,” Crispier thought. She needed to think about how to deal with her anxious thoughts because she felt overwhelmed. She was worried about things that were on her mind. “Will I fail?” Would she look like a fool because a fool was what she felt like the most? Maybe writing would help. Thinking about a story plot to write, she got heavy-eyed and eventually fell asleep.

When she woke up, the sun was shining through her windows. She wiped the crust from her eyes. She found her hat and purse that had fallen behind the couch. Soon, she would walk to the local diner to pick up breakfast. Then she would drink her coffee. After that, she would go back home to her study/library. She planned to settle into a comfy chair for some research. Crisper felt refreshed and ready to handle any circumstance she found herself in today. On the way back to her family farm, she noticed a beautiful sight. There in the pond was a mama duck along with her baby ducks πŸ¦† waddling around in the water. It was then that she knew that life would be fine. That feeling of peace soon diminished as soon as she walked up the lane to her house.

Well, Hello Crisper! “Oh rats,” Crisper said. Standing before her was her neighbor Hilda, who seemed cheerful. That wasn’t how Crisper wanted her afternoon to go. Anyway, Hilda brought over an apple pie and some vanilla ice cream to share. Once they started talking, Crisper began to enjoy the visit. She would research at another time. No big deal. Soon, the afternoon turned into evening. Hilda and Crisper decided to head back to the local diner for supper. This time, they would ride in Hilda’s car. The two ladies looked over the menu, and they settled on sharing a meal. They shared a meal of fried chicken, butter beans, and potato salad along with sweet tea. After hours of conversation, they drove home. The day didn’t go as Crisper planned, but it was good. Crisper knew that after drinking sweet tea with caffeine tonight would be sleepless as well. So she decided to do the research she had planned for this afternoon. She unlocked the entry door. A dim light from a lamp greeted her. The lamp sat beside the door of the library. Upon further observation, she noticed that its door was open. The door to the study had been locked for years, yet tonight it stood wide open

, Fandango. Thank you, Fandango, for the story starter. I see a story forming that I want to add to something I’ve written before.😁I will think about it for a while to see how I want the story to continue.
