Suzie’s shoulders dropped in despair when she understood the words the repairman said to her, “Yes ma’am, your WARRANTY ran out.” The young repairman who acted polite almost looked disappointed himself. It’s like he could read her mind or feel her emotions.
So here was Suzie, with a brand new washing machine that was broken,water all over her laundry room floor from a leak, a load of soaking wet clothes she had been washing, and an expired WARRANTY that meant a broken washing machine, that was only a year old, would not be repaired or replaced with a new one.
Suzie, with tears in her eyes, looked at the repairman and said, “It is what it is.”
