It’s the first Friday of April and here I am with your Stream of Consciousness Saturday prompt. I’m not sure how it got to April already. I guess I really have had my head buried in work. Here’s this week’s prompt: Your Friday prompt for Stream of Consciousness Saturday is “contains ‘pat.’” Find a word […]
Do you think we are compatible? He knew this was odd to talk to himself out loud but he was home. Micah was alone. No one was anywhere close where they could call him crazy for doing so. He was referring to Samantha. Last night Micah went on a blind date. The date was with the sister of his best friend, Benji.
I mean, he recalled that he was patient when she took forever to order her food at the Mexican restaurant. Also, he had waited at the table for what seemed like ten to 15 minutes when she went to use the bathroom. He remembered they had finished their meal and already decided to go to the movie that was playing in thirty minutes. But first, Samatha wanted to freshen up. The thing was the movie was in the next town. Micah thought to himself, “Will we be able to buy our movie tickets and get drinks and popcorn before the movie starts?”
But, What he didn’t know was that last night while Samatha was in the bathroom, Samatha was letting an elderly lady use the only available stall before her turn. She was showing empathy for someone else. Wouldn’t empathy be a good characteristic for someone to have?
Moral of the story:
when we don’t know the reason someone does something we can’t assume it’s for a bad reason or a negative reason.
Until Next Time,
Heidi💜
