“At first, I was unsure of what I needed to talk about. I realized that sleep was not going to happen for me tonight. At least not for a while. I should probably use this time to think about how to deal with my anxious thoughts.” Crispier felt overwhelmed around people who joked and made fun of others. She was worried about how that would affect her. Would she appear to look like a fool in front of them? Because a fool was what she felt like the most. If she had any sense, she would avoid latching on to those so-called friends. They would charm her into believing any kind of lies. These lies would damage her reputation as well as her friends. That kind of talk just didn’t suit her personality. How would she talk to them about the effect of their words on others? Could she avoid them for the rest of her life? Maybe writing would help her figure out what to say. Also, she thought poetry would be a good way to process her emotions. Thinking about the decisions she would have to make; she got heavy-eyed and eventually fell asleep. When she woke up, the sun was shining through her windows. She wiped the crust from her eyes. She found her hat and purse that had fallen behind the couch. Soon, she would pick up breakfast from the local diner. Then she would drink her coffee. After that, she would settle down in a comfy chair at the library for some research on ways to handle the actions of others. Crisper felt refreshed and ready to handle any circumstance she found herself in today. On the way back to her family farm, she noticed a beautiful sight. There in the pond was a mama duck along with her baby ducks 🦆 waddling around in the water. It was then that she knew that life would be ok.
Until Next Time,
Heidi💜
