She went to bed with a sore throat and woke up when her throat began to swell, or so she thought it was closing, like her world had been lately,just one failure away from the total loss of control.
There was no such thing as monsters in her closet because the monsters were within her body.
Was this the beginning of a cancer scare, or was she having an allergic reaction to something she ate,her ears were ringing the tone of fear.
Fear gripped her body, and she froze, trembling and weak in the knees, which buckled as she tried to stand.
She told herself to take a deep breath,inhale peace, and exhale stress cause what she now felt was the manifestion of stress buildup that would soon get better she hoped.
Yes, this was stress, she told herself as she took some allergy medicine and nasal spray, while she would later gargle with warm salt water, just it case this was more serious, and then she would wash her dirty dishes, in hopes to distract herself.
