Heidi’s two cents on rituals in the morning.💜

What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?

To reduce sensory overload, I turned on green noise this morning. I mean, why suffer from anxiety when there are ways to calm the scenes. I mean, senses?

This is ridiculous. That is a saying I use on repeat. Maybe it is my brain fogged, damaged brain. I am not sure, but I find myself saying, “This is ridiculous in a lot of my tasks everyday”. This morning included. As I sip my coffee,take a long inhale in and out to relax. Meditation and coffee are my morning routines.

I feel discombobulated in the mornings. No matter how much sleep. So, to handle my confusion and lack of motivation, I just start. I start somewhere. Eventually, the rest of me follows.

Meditation, coffee, the next step are three rituals I do in the mornings. I am also writing on my blog. I try to do this within the first hour of waking up. I also pray. I believe in something greater than me. With prayer for guidance included with my rituals, I normally have a better day.
