I was in it for the candy means that I wasn’t excited to dress up. Not really, but I was more interested in getting the most candy. See, I like candy. My teeth could attest to that. I have all my teeth but one.😁 which is one in the back. Still, I was risky with the sugar bugs.

A memory that sticks in the front of my mind is the year my stepsister and I dressed up like witches. This was before people made a big deal about Halloween being a pagen holiday. The time before people put harmful stuff in the candy for trick or treat. Before trunk or treat became popular and Fall festivals became a thing for churches. There is a picture of us at my mom’s house. Somewhere. But memories…They are great!
