Get Over It Day- Song Lyric Sunday 3-9-2025

I don’t necessarily think the word let go or over is in this song. However, I feel like I am letting go when I hear it. It’s more about bitterness for me. I struggle with the anger I feel about the things in life that I can’t change. Writing has been healing. Writing is my coping skill.

Some say God is not real. I, on the other hand, hope He is. Think of it like Superman. We find ourselves in situations where we need to be saved. I have been in situations where I need to be saved. It’s comforting to believe or have faith in a higher power than me. To each his own. The good thing about faith is it’s a personal decision.

But this is not a spiritual post. It’s a post meant to introduce a song. So, here I am, presenting a song. Yellow Ledbetter by Pearl Jam. My favorite part is the guitar solo. At that moment, I felt like everything had to be silent. My mind, my words, everything. I took some time to breathe and honor the life of myself and others I love and appreciate.

This song is more or less the thoughts of Eddie Vedder, the singer. When I did the research, I found that this song has different lyrics at different times. But what’s important is that it honors a friend who was lost in war.

Life is so uncertain. Cherish the ones you love every day. Make every day count. Here is the research in case you want to read it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_Ledbetter

Until Next Time,

Heidi💜
