What bores you?

Obnoxious people…Obnoxious people bore me, plus they annoy me, too. Those were her thoughts dangling in her thought bubble above her head.

Violet woke up to a different world.

Her cats were begging her to go outside. They were persistent in their meows this morning. “Well, I might as well let them outside.” So she yanked off the warm comfortor, got out of bed, and then walked to the front door. When Violet swung the storm door open, the cats rushed out. Probably in a hurry to pee or poop then roll in the dirt for a bit. There was instant satisfaction when she inhaled the cool, fresh air. Immediately, she thought of the spring and summer coming up, and that brought thoughts of bugs, snakes, and spiders to mind. How disgusting. Not to mention the heat with its reminder that hell would be hot like this. Instantly, she opened her phone app to GoggleKeep to remind her not to stress out about the stuff that she could not control today. Relax, enjoy the winter, as it’s cool. And to be thankful, the 4 to 5 inches of snow that was on the ground is melting pretty fast. Maybe the time for a broken power line, which could cause a power outage, has passed.

Girl, life at 50 is better in the winter coldness. You are always hot. No matter what. Even hot when you are shivering cold. Winter will be the glory of it all instead of the melting point of God forsaking, grass cutting in hell, or any other lawn care, weed yanking, summer.
