again, again, and again
buying books
Christmas is gone, but we have the memories

The thought goes through her head again, again, and again. She wonders why her life is the one. Not that she wishes something like this for anyone else but her. I mean, why was she chosen? Jessica was working in the bookstore but she was also buying books. Yes, I know she worked there. Her family even owned the place. However, she felt buying books would add capital instead of taking money away from the store. After she purchased the books she wanted, she sat down at the table in the back room. She chose to enjoy a turkey sandwich she made before leaving home. She glanced around the table at the corner which had a row of shelves. On the shelves sat the Christmas decoration boxes. She remembered past Christmases when her grandparents were living. Her grandmother would remind her grandfather that some shelves needed to be built in the back room of the store. Christmas was always a fun deal to her grandmother. Over the years she collected many decorations for Christmas. She needed a place to store them all. This year for Christmas, my mom and I decorated. We used every piece of the decorations from the boxes stored on that shelf. Our family Christmas is gone, but we have the memories of our family as it was back then. I am grateful for that.

Until Next Time,

Heidi💜
