Today was a cool, crisp air kind of day. She decided to walk down to the duck pond. She wanted to sit and ponder the enigma of her life at this time. As she walked down the path, she could hear the echo of a crow’s caw. There must be rodents scurrying around on the freshly plowed field. So, a crow must be alerting his crew that food was nearby. This day was an earnest day for her to think on the plans she would consider now. Would she quit her job in Chicago to run the family Farmer’s Market here in eastern North Carolina?
