Where to start? I didn’t know. I knew that she wanted to do things by herself with no help this time. The thing is I wasn’t sure she was able do things on her own. My mom helped me most of my life. Life came full circle and now I was doing things for my daughter, Pat. I remember our conversation before we loaded the last box in the trunk of her blazer. She was nervous about her new adventure. As her mom, I noticed her frustration. She fumbled with her shirt, which got stuck in the car trunk door as she shut it. I would continue to plea with Pat for me to help her move into her new apartment. “You don’t need to worry about me,” Pat said, “I can take care of myself.”
Until Next Time,
